Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 often referred to professionally under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the debut female to be signed with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first album she released for the label on Oct. 21 2016 with the title Pho. It was then that she started to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox released her music to the internet in 2012, when she dropped her five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release additional music on the internet including Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015, Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole had her submit her tracks for the Dreamville Team later that year because he was hoping for Rihanna to work together on a few references. It was announced on December 8 that she was signed to Dreamville Records. She made an appearance on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. She released Pho, her debut album on October 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she guest-starred on two tracks with her label-mates EarthGang in the video for Nothing but the Best. and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The album's first single, Whipped Cream, from the album came out September 5, 2018 with an accompanying music video. In November, she dropped two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then on November 13 two new singles titled One and Pedigree. One and pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby was then able to make appearances in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She dropped this single in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. The track was launched with a music video on YouTube on February 20, 2019, has been viewed over 3 million times in the first 7 days. The singer was a part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of the year 2018.
