Anushka Sharma is an Bollywood actress and producer. She is acclaimed for her acting, and has been named one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. Nush is her brand of clothing for women. She also serves as an ambassador for Nush and also owns numerous other brands. Forbes Magazine has featured her in their magazine as well. Anushka Sharma was the daughter of Kumar Sharma (retd.) and Ashima Sharma. She was born in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on May 1, 1988. Her father is an officer in the Colonel (retd.) His mother is household worker. Karnesh Sharma, Anushka's elder brother, has served as a Merchant Navy officer and is an upcoming film director. Anushka graduated from Army School in Bangalore, followed by an undergraduate Master of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka Sharma holds a Masters in Arts with a major in economics. Anushka wanted to become a journalist or model and not a performer. Anushka Sharma moved to Mumbai in order to enroll in Elite Model Management and be prepared under the supervision by style advisor Prasad Bidapa. Anushka's first time as a fashion model was in the year 2017, in which she was a model in the shoes of Wendell Rodricks at Lakme Fashion Week after which she was selected by Rodricks to appear at the Spring Summer 2007 collection. Anushka has worked on several brands since her debut as models at Lakme Fashion Week. She's been involved in campaigns for Fiat Palio, Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry, as well as Fiat Palio. Anushka Sharma along with her modeling profession, enrolled in an acting academy and began giving auditions to films. Anushka made her debut as an actor in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. To prepare herself for the screening test, Anushka Sharma stayed an entire day. After that, she signed up for three films together with Yash Raj Films. She played the young wife of an older man in the film (the exact same character that Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared in the 2010 film "Badmash Company" together with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The film received mixed reviews. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she portrayed a Punjabi middle class girl who set up her own company. The movie received a great reception and was a huge success. Anushka's contract for three films with Yash Raj Films was completed by Band Baaja Baaraat.
